DESASTRES NATURAIS: IMPACTOS NA SAÚDE INFANTIL

Resumo
Introdução: Os desastres naturais caracterizam-se por fenômenos da natureza e ações provocadas pelo homem que podem ocasionar prejuízos econômicos e sociais na saúde coletiva, sendo mulheres e crianças os mais vulneráveis. Desse modo, deve-se haver um olhar mais amplo dos Programas Nacionais e considerar a vulnerabilidade diferencial das crianças. Objetivo: Descrever quais os impactos dos desastres naturais na saúde das crianças através da revisão de literatura. Material e métodos: Estudo de revisão de literatura integrativa para analisar os impactos dos desastres naturais na saúde das crianças de acordo com os dados relativos dos anos de 2010 a 2020 que constam em artigos nacionais e internacionais disponíveis na base de dados da Scielo e Pubmed. Resultados: As reflexões propostas tomam por base dois artigos que se reservaram ao estudo das Catástrofes às quais resultam em consequências ambientais e desenvolvem um cenário propício a doenças infecciosas. Após as calamidades, geralmente, as pessoas são realocadas em abrigos temporários na qual possuem baixas condições de higiene e acabam desenvolvendo um fator agravante para a contaminação de infecções. Segundo a princesa da Jordânia, Sarah Zeid, as mulheres e crianças têm 14 vezes mais chances de morrerem em catástrofes e por este fato, um olhar holístico deve ser direcionado a saúde infantil. Todavia, o Brasil pouco contribui para esse tema, mesmo tendo calamidades recorrentes, exemplificativamente como os desastres ambientais em Minas Gerais e enchentes nas regiões do país. Segundo o plano de contingência do município de Mariana-MG de 2019, os agravos com diarreia e gastroenterites tiveram uma alta equivalente a mais de 30% em 2016 após um ano do rompimento da barragem do fundão. Diante do exposto, evidencia-se a necessidade de produção de novos estudos sobre o tema. Conclusão: As infecções são um dos maiores problemas deixados pelas calamidades da natureza, causando gastroenterites, cólera, leptospirose entre outras doenças infecciosas e desse modo, tornam-se as maiores causadoras de morte infantil após os desastres, principalmente, em locais socialmente vulneráveis.
